A little known fact, the word POSH began as an acronym at the turn of the last century, used in the steamship industry. During this time, there was considerable steamship traffic between England and India. The wealthy passengers traveling from England hated to endure the blistering sun as they made their month long jaunt to India. Therefore, they learned to book their cabins on the Port side of the ship going Out of England. They would book on the Starboard side of the ship for the journey Home. Their tickets were stamped P.O.S.H. for Port Out Starboard Home, and the acronym began to describe luxury or upper-class accomodations.
Today, the word POSH has come to mean: Smart, elegant or fashionable, classy or sophisticated.
We've opened www.Poshandpersonalized.com to bring you personalized products that are POSH - that is smart, fashionable and classy. We also like to throw the word "FUN" in there as well! What good is it to be POSH if you can't have a little fun while you're at it?
